Personal & Mental Health Resources
As school counselors, it is our responsibility to connect students & families to resources in the school and community. Below are links to school resources, community organizations and websites with helpful information & guidance in speaking with your child about various challenging topics such as mental health, grief and trauma.
Hershey Intervention and Prevention Program & Community Resources
Mission - The Pennsylvania Student Assistance Program (SAP) is a team process used to mobilize school resources to remove barriers to learning. SAP is designed to assist in identifying issues including alcohol, tobacco, other drugs, mental health concerns and other issues which pose a barrier to a student’s success. Derry Township School District’s Student Assistance Program is HIP (Hershey Intervention & Prevention Program).
Cocoa Packs
Mission - The purpose of Cocoa Packs is to ensure that all school aged children in Derry Township School District and the surrounding area are food secure every day of the year.
Hershey Food Bank
Mission - Our purpose is to serve the Derry Township community by providing food and assistance with the temporary needs of families and individuals in financial distress.
Love Inc.
Mission - We are a collaboration of churches seeking to alleviate poverty for our under-resourced neighbors in need.
